Plein air painting at The Ruth Bancroft Garden

The Ruth Bancroft Garden is set up as a publich education center to showcase garden design and water-conserving plants. We love it there - so much to see, so much to photograph, so much to paint!

We all agreed we would come again, maybe even twice during our regular plein air seasons. Even though it was a warm day, there were plenty of shady areas and nice vignettes for sitting and painting. The garden offers "First Tuesday Free" for a portion of the year, so we took advantage of it.
