Pat Calabro will be demonstrating a couple of pour painting techniques that she plans to work into Artist Trading Cards (ATC). Relax and watch her demo or you can create along with her - here is the prep:

1.  Set up a surface covered by butcher paper or wax paper. Have a few sheets of heavy white card stock ready, as well as small paper cups for mixing and pouring.

2.  Choose one or two colors of acrylic paint, plus black and white (Apple Barrel or Artist Loft are inexpensive brands). We will add water or Floetrol to get the right consistency.

Pat started pour painting because she loves texture. Pour painting doesn’t use the same tools as traditional painting to create art. Often fluid paints are poured directly on to the chosen substrate and then manipulated by tilting or pushing the paint. Pat uses a number of different surfaces, including canvas, wood, plexiglass and mirror. Her work is also for sale on MadeinConcord.com.
